Home Fitness Room

Over the course of the next few posts I am going to build an in-home fitness room complete with a portable sauna.

First, let’s talk about choosing the right equipment and layout.

A home fitness room can be beneficial for everyone. Whether you want to lose weight or just start a healthy living program, all you need is to plan a perfect fitness room in either a spare room or a basement and of course some equipment to go with it.

The perfect fitness room

It is very important to have a perfect fitness room if you plan to have one. You’ll need to also find a perfect place to put it. It may sound hard but all you will need are some great tips and you’re on your way.

To start find a large room in your house like a basement. The reason why basements work the best is because they are usually cooler than the rest of your house, as they are underground.

Also basements can be large and not used as much as the rest of your house. First you’ll need to clear the space.

Then find some equipment to use. Some items you may want to add to your home fitness room are weights, a treadmill, yoga mats, a bench press, an exercise bike and maybe even a sauna.


There are some huge benefits to having a personnel fitness room that you may want to consider when starting one. Some may include the fact that it is only 20 steps away from your own bed. That would be very helpful for people that are not morning people. You don’t have to get up so early because it is so close.

Another fact is most people feel unwelcome or awkward at public gyms, but in this case you will be by yourself with no one to judge how funny you may look. While the initial cost of an in-home fitness room can be far more than a monthly gym membership it will eventually pay for itself.

There may also be great things that can come with an in home fitness room. With that may come some cons but not too many to worry about. One may include that at first it may take a while to start it and make it a perfect fit, another con is it may take up storage space that you may need.


Another thing that you may want to add to your in home fitness is a sauna. Whether it’s a portable sauna or a complete full sauna either one is a great idea.

Some great things about having an in home sauna is you don’t have to be in a room with a whole bunch of people naked. With this you relax in the comfort of your own home.

Even portable saunas are a great ideas. They are very convenient with the idea of an in home fitness room. They are small and very portable. You can store it away for later use and its very personal so you don’t have to share it if you don’t want to. They are also cost effective.

In conclusion

If you think this is perfect or sounds like fun you may want to begin planning your in home fitness room today. They are really not that hard to do just as long as you keep up with it and keep it a daily routine you should be fit in no time. So buy all the equipment and create a daily schedule and it will all work perfectly in the end.
